From obd2cartool.com a genius clients test, Found the reason there is 5V instead of V-bat on pin 7 are 5.0V Zener diodes D701 and D703 - Just replace those with regular diodes! No need rework again.

Replace those 2 diodes with 1N4148 100v/200mA diodes will work on BMW E60/61

Work on BMW or Trucks replace the two diode... number: D701 + D703  put in place : sillicium universale diode 1N4148 to work on BMW.
